The Piedmont Historical Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to collecting, preserving and sharing the rich history of Piedmont, Calhoun County and Alabama. Our restored Southern Railroad Depot Museum — built in 1868 with Victorian gingerbread trim and four rooms warmed by red brick fireplaces — stands at the heart of that mission, welcoming visitors, students, and neighbors to explore the people, places and events that shaped our community.
